Balvraid Steading undertook a major transformation in 2006 to become the centrepiece of the estate, commanding majestic views of the surrounding Fleet estuary, hills and woodland.

The secluded setting offers the best of highland landscaped and yet lies within reach of neighbouring villages and towns with the internationally renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Course five miles to the south and the historic Dunrobin Castle six miles to the north.

A private, tree lined farm track provides access to Balvraid Steading which is comprised of five twin/double bedrooms, four which are en-suite.  Each room has zip and link beds which allows flexibility required to meet your accommodation needs.  Across from the main building, there are four annexes located in the courtyard. The annexes provide four further en-suite twin/double rooms.

The main building provides accommodation for up to ten people and with the optional addition of the annexes, this will provide accommodation up to eighteen.

Pleases note that we only have two ground floor, en-suite bedrooms available.

Balvraid Steading comes complete with  a fully fitted kitchen, dining room, reception area, large living room and a snug to the rear. There is an additional bathroom on the ground floor and a utility room for guest use. To the front of the property, there is a large garden area and to the rear, dog kennel facilities.

Logs, electricity, towels, linen and internet are all included in the final price. Heating is provided by the wood burning stoves as well as oil-fired underfloor heating.

Additionally, we can arrange a local cook who is experienced in catering for shooting parties, dinner parties, general entertaining and domestic meals. Pricing available on request.
